Goal: Provide basic theory in genetic evaluation using whole genome data and applying it to practical data analyses.
Who? (Post) graduate students and professionals working in animal genetics.
Outline: Bayesian inference (computing posteriors, Gibbs-, MH-sampler), application to genome analysis (Bayes A, B, C, RR-BLUP, single step), validation and interpretation of results, exercises based on Julia (http://julialang.org), Julia source code for Bayesian regression models will be made available for participants.
Costs: CHF 850 / EUR 815 / USD 890 for academia (CHF 1400 / EUR 1350 / USD 1470 otherwise) Lunch included, dinner and accommodation not included. Breakfast usually comes with your accommodation package, which you are responsible to book yourself. Davos has plenty of hotels in all price ranges.
